About slopaf

slopaf is a browser arcade for small multiplayer games that people build with AI. You open a page, pick a name, and play with friends or with whoever the matchmaker finds. There is nothing to install and no account to make.

The arcade is deliberately small. Every game listed as playable can be started from the arcade today. Games that aren't ready are labeled Coming soon, with no rooms and no player counts.

1. 1.Pick a player name. Your guest account is created in your browser and remembered when you come back.
2. 2.Create a room and share its eight-character code, or let matchmaking find other players for the game you picked.
3. 3.Everyone gets ready, the host starts, and the match runs on our servers, on Quark, our own netcode engine.
4. 4.Some games fill empty seats with AI.

When a match ends, the host can run it again in the same room, with the same players. A room lasts up to two hours from the start of its latest match and about half an hour after that match ends, and a room that nobody has been in for a while is closed. If a game server restarts in the middle of a match, that match is lost, and the host can start another one from the room. We would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.

The games here are made with substantial help from AI coding and creative tools. When creators submit a game, we ask which tools they used and how. AI-built doesn't mean unfinished. It does mean things can get weird, and that is the point.

The arcade is meant to hold games of every genre, from racers to shooters to things that don't have a genre yet.
